Responsible Pet Ownership

As a pet owner you are responsible to ensure that your pet is well looked after.

In addition it is important that pet owners respect other people in the community. This can be achieved by ensuring your pet is adequately confined on your property, on a leash in public places, ensuring the pet does not bark or howl excessively and prevent aggressive behaviour.

Lost and Found Pets

If you have lost your dog or cat you should notify the Shire as soon as possible. You will need to provide the following details;

• Your details
• Dog/Cat description
• Location your dog/cat went missing
• When you noticed your dog/cat missing.

Having you pet microchipped and registered will help identify them and reunite them with you quickly.
