Dear residents
Our community has been invited to take part in a state-wide collaboration.
This collaboration sees State Government and 139 Local Governments across Western Australia moving forward together. The study will gather and share baseline and informing data to help local communities like ours to recover and thrive following the COVID-19 outbreak in Australia.
Importantly, we will be able to see how we’re going compared to other local governments – to share our experiences and to learn from one another.
With limited resources available to conduct studies like this, we are grateful to the following organisations for providing funding and pro-bono support to make this possible.
Remarkable times call for remarkable collaboration. We are stronger when we work together.

The disclosure requirements around gifts and travel contributions with a value over $200 (or sum of gifts from any one person during a year) have changed and came into effect on March 4, 2016.
Councillors and designated employees are now required to disclose, in writing, to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) within 10 days. A designated employee is the CEO, an employee with delegation of authority, an employee who is a member of a committee comprising councillors and employees and any employee nominated by the local government. This replaces the previous process of disclosing these annually in a return.
Councillors and designated employees have until March 31, 2016 to disclose gifts or travel contributions received between July 1, 2015 and March 3, 2016.
The CEO is required to keep a register of these disclosures and publish the register on our Shire website. Please see below document to view the Shire of Lake Grace's current Register of Gifts and Travel Contributions.
To view our July 1, 2015 to March 3, 2016 Register of Gifts and Travel Contributions please see below document.
