Disability Access and Inclusion Plan Review

Notice is given that the Shire of Lake Grace is currently reviewing its Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) and invites feedback from people with disability, their families and carers, disability service providers and community members and groups to provide comment on previously unidentified access issues or ongoing access issues to help inform the new five year plan.

It is a requirement of the Disability Services Act (WA) that all local government authorities develop and implement a DAIP that outlines the ways in which the authority will ensure that people with disability have equal access to its facilities and services and that each is required to lodge its DAIP with the WA Disability Services Commission.

A copy of the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2014-2019 is available to be inspected at or obtained from the Shire of Lake Grace, 1 Bishop Street, Lake Grace 6353 during business hours 8.30am to 4.00pm or via the website www.lakegrace.wa.gov.au.

Written submissions about the review of the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan may be made to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Lake Grace PO Box 50 Lake Grace WA 6353 by Friday 3 May 2019
