Social Media Coordinator

Are you looking for a tourism focused social media role with flexibility, then this could be for you.

Roe Tourism are seeking expressions of interest for a motivated and skilled Social Media Coordinator, confident in creating, managing and doing everything within the social media portals of Facebook and Instagram.

Job Description

The role would be suitable for a person working at a CRC or Visitor Centre in the Wheatbelt region with the capacity and right skill-set, or a home-based freelance type business with digital media experience. This position will pay $100-$150 per week (depending on level of experience). There will be an initial 3 month trial period, with the possibility to extend to 12 months, on review by the committee. Please note, no equipment or software will be provided with this position.

Deliverables and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated experience in managing Facebook and Instagram, developing, curating and scheduling engaging content on Roe Tourism SM channels.
  • Ability to update SM channels with three (3) new posts per week, using existing content, new photos/videos and by creating graphics as required.
  • Manage and monitor social media channels and respond to all messages and replies in a timely manner.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Photoshop and Later.com or other SM scheduling programs (desirable)
  • Preparation of Social Media quarterly report on Facebook and Instagram insights (i.e. visits, likes, followers, reach and engagement) for committee meeting.
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to work unsupervised
  • Assist with and provide input into Roe Tourism Digital Marketing plans (desirable).
  • Good understanding of the Wheatbelt region (desirable)
  • Ability to create a Roe Tourism Social Media Strategy (including KPI’s - growth in engagement, reach, link clicks etc. (desirable)

The Roe Tourism Association is a collaborative, non-for-profit partnership between the Shires of Bruce Rock, Corrigin, Kondinin, Kulin, Lake Grace, Narembeen and Quairading. Originally formed in 1998, the purpose of Roe Tourism is to work with the community and local business to promote the ‘Pathways to Wave Rock’ self-drive trail and encourage visitors to come and see the many extraordinary and unique experiences which the region has to offer.
